It is relatively easier to lose weight from other problem areas in the body than face. We usually start putting on weight around face due to ignorant eating habits and lack of exercise. While there are specific exercises to burn fat from problem areas, face fat can be removed by practicing yoga and other forms of exercise.
For losing body fat we do cardio, aerobics, swimming, yoga etc. These form of exercise work for the entire body fat weight loss, missing out on specific areas like love handles, side tyres, belly fat etc. Losing weight is a steady process that works step by step and as we embark on this journey, we first get rid of the extra fat stored in our body. Face is one part of body that takes time to burn fat. To help expedite the face fat removal we have listed some of the exercises that can be done for face fat loss.
Yoga is an age-old form of exercise practised by sages and yoga gurus. It is indeed a slow process which works effectively and lasts longer. Listed below are various yoga asanas that help lose face fat.
As you start, sit erect and tilt head towards your back. Keep your set on the ceiling, pull your lips and blow air for around 10 seconds. Repeat it for 10 times.
Chin lift could be done while sitting or standing. Tilt your head towards ceiling, tighten your lips and pout towards ceiling. Maintain this position for a couple of seconds and repeat a couple of times.
Sit straight with your face towards the wall. Bend your head on one side and slowly turn your head in circular motion. Then repeat it with the other side of the head. Repeat it for few minutes and keep the spine straight while doing.
Sit straight and smile wide, then place your middle and index finger of right and left hand on the cheeks. Slowly lift cheeks with the help of fingers and hold for a few seconds. Repeat it for a couple of times.
This is something we all must have done without knowing its benefits. Pull your cheeks and lips inwards and try to smile while holding that face. Repeat it several times and relax at the end of each turn.
This is one of the best yoga asanas practiced for burning face fat. Kneel down with your hands placed on your knees. Simply drop your jaw, open your mouth and pull the tongue out. The reason it is called simha (lion) asana is because of the roar sound produced while breathing.
Stand straight and keep your head forward, this could also be done while you are seated. Try to lift your lower lip by pushing out the lower jaw. Remain in that position a couple of seconds and repeat several times.
You must have done it hundred times as a kid without even knowing its significance. Simply fill your mouth with air and transfer it from one side to another resembling the movement for mouthwash. Do it for a few minutes and relax.
