How to Include Amla in Your Diet
Its pungent taste makes it difficult to consume it raw, but there are several preparations through which one can consume it. You can either prepare amla chutney or amla murabba, amla jam, pickle etc and store in a jar. Remember to restrict your daily intake to not more than 3 to 4 tspn. Besides, it could also be consumed in the form of juice with a glass of water.

Heat coconut oil in a pan with 2 tbsp of amla powder till it turns brown and set it aside to cool. After a few minutes separate the oil using a sieve and massage the scalp for 15 minutes. Leave the oil in your hair for 30 minutes and wash with a mild shampoo with cold or lukewarm water.
Adding amla to the henna paste is also beneficial for hair growth. Mix 1 tbsp amla powder with 3 tbsp of henna and some water. Keep the consistency thick to make smooth paste and leave it overnight. Next morning apply it gently on the hair for 1 to 2 hours and wash thoroughly with cold water and a mild shampoo.
