Fermented rice water is the water that is turned little sour after socking rice. The water is kept on room temperature for a day or two and then it turns into fermented rice water. It has high amounts of starch that makes it rich in minerals, vitamin E, antioxidants. The fermentation process also creates a substance that is called pitera.

How to Prepare Rice Water?

Preparing rice water at home is very simple. You just need a cup of organic white rice and pure water.

  1. Wash raw rice with little water to remove any dirt.
  2. Now add some pure water in rice and keep for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Swirl water and strain.
  4. Keep this water in an air tied container and keep it in refrigerator.
  5. You may use it on skin as a toner and cleanser twice a day.
  6. You may rinse your hair with it after shampooing.

Things to Keep in Mind

  1. It is recommended to use it just once or twice a week.
  2. You can keep it for just one week. After this prepare fresh.
